Herriman High School Community Council                                                                                Chairman 2016-17   (Vice Chairman 2015-16)

As Vice Chairman of the Herriman High School Community Council, I oversee a committee of school and community members about issues regarding our school. Recently, I over-saw a sub committee that dealt with safe driving routes for Herriman High School and Copper Mountain Middle School. We worked with community leaders to get a temporary bus for students crossing the Mountain View Corridor.

We also worked hard with city engineers  and to improve the driving conditions around Herriman High School. Many of these changes will happen during the summer of 2016.     Our presentation to city and school officials can be found here:

Butterfield Canyon Elementary School Community Council

As a member of this committee, I assist in achieving educational goals for teachers and students. Our school is ranked one of the highest in the Jordan School District.

President Elect Herriman High School PTSA

For the next two years, I will be serving as the President Elect of Herriman High School's PTSA. I am excited to work with others to get parents involved in our schools success. The PTSA offers some great programs in our schools, and I am excited to help make our schools better by being involved with the PTA.

Jordan School District Calendaring Committee

I am on a committee that creates the Jordan School District calendar working with patrons and district employees. Next year we got you a week long Spring Break! We do listen to parents, and teachers in making a calendar that works for everyone.

Past School Community Experience

We have always been involved in our children's schools. We have been members of the PTA and I have served on School Community Councils at South Jordan Middle School and Jordan Ridge Elementary Schools. I have also served on the Jordan School District Risk, Safe School Management Committee for many years. In 2004, I was a candidate for the Jordan School Board.
